RECENT RARE BIRDS IN THE COASTAL BEND AREA

AMERICAN FLAMINGO- Last seen in Port Aransas on 1/17.

RED-FOOTED BOOBY- Continues daily in Corpus Christi. (1/25).

CATTLE TYRANT- Continues daily in Corpus Christi. (1/25).

RED-THROATED LOON- Last seen in Portland on 1/16.

BLACK SCOTER- Up to 30 individuals continue in Portland (1/24), Several more continue in the Rockport area (1/20).

AMERICAN WOODCOCK- One individual continues in Port Aransas (1/19).

PARASITIC JAEGER- One bird found in Port Aransas on 1/25.

 

 

RIO GRANDE VALLEY

 

MOTTLED OWL- Continues at Santa Margarita Ranch daily (not accessible on my tours, (1/23)

BROWN JAY- Continues daily at Santa Margarita Ranch (not accessible on my tours, (1/23)

ROSE-THROATED BECARD- Up to 3 individuals were found at Santa Margarita Ranch (1/20)

CRIMSON-COLLARED GROSBEAK- Female continues in Edinburg. (1/24)

TROPICAL PARULA- Continues in Weslaco. (1/24)

LIMPKIN- One bird continues in Cameron county (1/23)
